Celebration of the Orphans day is the one most important social activity for JICA Alumni. Ten members of the social committee of JICA Alumni visited 2 Egyptian NGO’s which specialized of
caring orphans. Mrs. Samiha, head of the social committee purchased gifts (clothes, toys and sweets) form Alumni’s budget in order to distribute it to the children.
Alumni members played and sang songs with the orphans and spend good time with them.
The concept of this visit is to make the orphans feel that they are not alone in the society and they have the right of celebration as anyone else and to integrate them into community.
The directors of the NGO’s thanked the committee members and mentioned that the children were
very happy to celebrate with the members.
